Delhi has been always a fascinating city for me not because it is a capital city of India but it has a remarkable history. Through ages, it has transformed itself into one of the fast emerging cities of the world with economic, industrial and technological expansions. But this great city today, what was it some 150 years back, when the british raj was at its peak glory, the Mighty Mughals seeing its melancholic decline and collapse of long ruled dynasty, and the people of Delhi who were caught in the catastrophe of the Uprising.
I found some rare images of Delhi during this period which marks an important chapter in the history of India. Through these Images, we can get a glimpse of life of the people of Delhi and the city itself.
